Today here in BD me logged into my G+ profile then see a quite good update and it is amazing another announcement from Google .

 

As a SEO and Design executive my thoughts about this new look is launching some benefits for us .

Benefits

1.  A  larger cover photo (2120px by 1192px) they display in 16×9 when fully expanded
2.  A new tab for your local reviews
3. You can see your all photos, +1's and YouTube videos in one place individually .
4. Highlight your favorite restaurants .
5. If you want to hide your tab you can do .
6. An easier way to edit your info.
7. A complete “About” tab, these include : People , Story etc. also you can edit them if you want.



A  fuzzy think : This amazing look when will be show in Google’s mobile apps, they did not say anything.
In addition they said this update rolling out gradually .

Reduce  image file size This is important to increase  Google Page Speed score. Yes, I'm going to say about your images which are waiting to get your permission to upload themselves on your site.  We believe that big and high- res images are better for user experience, But often they have very large file size and take a long time to load your site or page. So, take images in KB, not MB. It can be between 100kb to 500kb in large.  As a designer when I'm using Photoshop to edit or optimize images for the web then I don't care about PPI or DPI, Because they are not necessary to web displays, but they are important for printings.
